Student Entrepreneur of the Year (SEOY) Competition – BYU-CEO recruits student entrepreneurs to compete against their peers, showcasing their companies and ventures. BYU-CEO walks contestants through each phase of the competition, and then hosts the SEOY Final Competition, where finalists present a panel successful entrepreneurs and investors. Cash prizes exceed $100,000, and past winners have gone on to win larger competitions.

Business Plan Competition (BPC) and Business Model Competition (BMC) – The BPC and the BMC are separate competitions held on campus that take student entrepreneurs and walk them through phases of entrepreneurship. Students are trained throughout each step of the process with workshop after workshop presented by faculty, prominent entrepreneurs, and investors alike. Tens of thousands of dollars are awarded to the finalists of each competition.

Monthly Event – The staple of BYU-CEO, our networking events draw students from all across BYU’s campus. We bring in both high-profile entrepreneurs and local student entrepreneurs to each event to teach and inspire the students in attendance. Food and door prizes are provided after the speakers as BYU-CEO leads its students in effective networking. Certain local companies are selected to come and pitch their services catered towards start-ups and aspiring entrepreneurs, as well as offer internships and employment opportunities at these events.

Marketing Events – To build awareness of BYU-CEO, we sponsor two events each semester focused on getting positive attention and building our brand. These events will target the general student population, and have consisted of sponsoring concerts with popular bands, landing helicopters and parking exotic supercars on campus to announce the events, and hosting a variety of competitions. These events will be mutually beneficial to both the organization and all sponsor or participants.

Entrepreneurship Week – To raise awareness for entrepreneurship and inspire students, BYU-CEO participates in events hosted by each of the major colleges across campus once a year. From Law majors to Life Science majors, BYU-CEO spoke in all of the colleges about the benefits and blessings of entrepreneurship. Results far surpassed expectations, as hundreds of students contacted us later.
